I just recently read a book called Break Into the World of Freelance Writing and it made me realize that there is more I can be doing to boost my income online. I've used sites like Text Broker for a while to help fill in the gaps of income when I am in between clients. But, I've stopped taking on clients so it has caused me to look at this site differently.
But I am looking at things differently now because Textbroker has a lot going for it. It gives me a way to make fast income and also build up some stable clients. This is something that I didn't take advantage of at first but I plan to going forward.
Frequent Pay
All Textbroker requires is that your account reaches $10. Every time it does, you can request your pay. This makes it a very good site to make money in a big pinch - for example, if you have a bill to pay.
Achieve Higher Rankings
If you consistently write high quality articles, you'll make it higher up in the ranks. I am currently at Tier 3. I would like to be at Tier 4 so this is a goal for me to work on in the future. When new Tiers open up to you, that means you can make more money.
Direct Orders
Another way to make money on the site is to secure direct orders. To do this, it helps to complete your profile and also work on orders on a frequent basis. Eventually, more and more clients will ask you to write for them exclusively. This is something that I need to work on going forward.
Final Thoughts
Overall, that book I mentioned at the beginning of this post talked about more than just Textbroker. However, it did provide me with some valuable hints and tricks for making more money at Textbroker. I've requested payoff - I'll let you know when it goes through.

A CashCrate Review
CashCrate is one of the programs I have chosen to help me build my online income, and it is by far one of the best I've found. I happen to know that they have been around for a while - several years, in fact. This tells me that they have had a long time to perfect their business model and that they are completely legit - otherwise they would have gotten shut down by now.
How do you make money?
There are a few ways you can make money with this site. These include
- Taking surveys.
- Completing offers and tasks.
- Shopping online.
- Referring people to the site.
- Get paid to watch videos.
When do they pay you?
All CashCrate requires is that your account balance reaches $20. When that happens, they'll send you your money via check. I've gotten paid from them in the past - it's just that the checks have been long cashed and discarded. Next check I get, I'll certainly post the screenshot so you can see.
How can you boost your earnings?
There are two ways you can boost your earnings. The first is to put in more hours completing offers, taking surveys, watching videos, etc. The second is to find more referrals. It all depends on what you are good at and how you want to spend your time.
Keep in mind that it is possible to succeed here without referrals. The surveys are fun. The Daily Surveys, for example, pay you a minimum of 50 cents a day (though most seem to be 80 cents a day.) That means that you will make at least $15 a month if you do the daily surveys alone.
What about the negative points?
Completing offers and surveys all day can get tedious. The questions they ask you are simple but mundane. Also, getting referrals isn't a for everyone. Not only that, but if you don't have a separate email account for it, you will find that your inbox is often flooded with information. I definitely recommend starting a new email address for your CashCrate account.
Overall, I think it is worth signing up for. At the very least, you can make some extra cash each month having fun shopping, completing tasks, and filling out surveys. There's even games on the site!
How I Plan on Getting Out of Debt
If I am really honest with myself, my debt is more like $20,000 rather than the $5000 that I stated yesterday. Yes, I know. Debt is embarrassing so even though people I know likely won't read this, I still couldn't face the music.
It shows that I really need to change some things about myself and about my lifestyle in order to turn my situation around.
First, I need an income.
I spoke of this yesterday - the fact that I am building my income online so that I can start paying off my debt. In this blog you'll not only have a chance to see how I am doing with my debt, but also with building my online career. So far, I am not making much - but I will give you my income breakdown at the end of each month so you can track my progress.
Second, I'll start paying things off.
I am a huge fan of David Ramsey's Total Money Makeover. I purchased it on my Kindle and am going through the steps to financial independence. I am still on Step 1 - Set aside $1000 for a small emergency fund. I have $0 saved right now and since I don't really have an income, I have no idea how long it will take.
Third, I will be patient and intense.
Good things don't happen overnight normally. Patience and intensity are the name of the game. I have to be ultra focused and I will reach my goals. If I have patience, I won't panic. I find that when I panic I get discouraged and give up.
If I concentrate and stick to my routines, I know I will achieve my goal to pay off my debt and make my living online.

Why I Make Money Online - Live an Independent Lifestytle Debt Free
Why do I make money online?
With this new blog, I start a new chapter in my life. My internet career is still in its fledgling stages and in many ways, so is my life. You see, I am going through a divorce and it is time for me to make a new beginning.
I have some debt.
The first reason why I need to make money online is that I have some debt. It isn't much. If I had to estimate, my debt is around 5000. But, I need to pay this off as soon as possible so I can make a new beginning.
I would like to be independent.
Another goal of mine is to build up my online income so I can be completely independent. When I was with my husband, I didn't work. Now that I need to support myself and start a new life, I need to find a way to make money.
I don't want the daily grind.
I never really entered the work force in the traditional sense. I worked for a short time in a bank and then a temporary employment agency. After that, I moved around a lot with my husband and contented myself with making money through my writing.
I would like passive income.
My writing career stressed me out. It was deadline oriented and it was disheartening to realize that once I got paid for some work I did, I never got paid for that work again. I have decided that in my new phase of my life, my rule is that I need to make money with passive income. This means that I do the work once and I keep getting paid for what I did.
My passive income goal.
So, how do I plan on truly making my money? I thought I would leave you with a list so you could have a feel for my goals.
I will still write.
I have decided that I will not give up on writing entirely. I'll still do it - I am just going to be picky about which gigs I take on. And, if I am tight for cash, I can always use sites like Textbroker and The Content Authority to help me earn some extra cash.
Other programs I use.
One program I found that I really like is called Cash Crate. Sometimes I don't feel like writing or working on any of my blogs or websites. I love to pass the time here completing offers and surveys for extra cash. Companies rely on us as consumers to give our opinions. So, they put companies like Cash Crate to work gathering our opinions.
You see, I am just feeling out all my options right now. I decided to work on Cash Crate for a while because the fun surveys and offers give my mind a break. Plus, it's fun getting the checks. :-)
I will disclose my earnings.
When I get a check or a payment, I'll take a pic of it so I can show you. I want you all to be with me every step of the way so that you can see that it truly is possible to start from scratch making money online and turn your life around by building a stable future that is debt free.
